About Us

Vida Paint opened its doors in October of 1973 to cater to the paint needs of the growing oilfield and marine industry. Owner and founder David Kirkpatrick has been a resident of Morgan City, Louisiana since 1959 and is also the president of the company. The business has grown to include a second location in Houma, Louisiana (circa 1977), and a third location in Broussard, Louisiana just outside of Lafayette (circa 1996).

The range of products has also grown with the addition of a complete line of house paint and painting tools. The focus is on quality products and outstanding service for the professional as well as the do-it-yourselfer. Technical information, problem-solving help, and expert advice are considered essentials at Vida Paint, not just nice extras.
